Benefits for AFGE Members

When you join the union, you have access to these AFGE benefits. These benefits are backed by the collective strength of over 10-million members of AFL-CIO unions. By using one or two of the programs, many members save as much as their annual dues.

These Money-Saving Benefits are Available Only to AFGE Members:

Discount Dental Services

This program is intended for the AFGE members’ extended family (parents, aunts, uncles etc.) or the member who may not have good health benefits coverage and is in great need of help in reducing health care expenses.

Dental care discounts are offered through a network operated directly by CAREINGTON International. The program offers discounts 20% to 40% off the normal charges at over 30,000 participating dental care providers nationwide. The savings include comprehensive general and preventive dentistry including annual exams, cleanings, fillings, x-rays, root canals, extractions, crowns and bridges, and orthodontics (braces). In addition to routine dental work, members also have access to specialists including surgeons, endodontists, periodontists, orthodontists and pediatric dentists.

This program has a discounted fee of $69.95 per year. In addition, members and their families are entitled to savings on these additional health needs:

• Retail and mail order prescriptions
• Vision care
• Foot and ankle care
• Hearing aids and care
• Nurse Hotline
• Diabetic Supplies
