AFGE Council 222 is proud to represent 40 HUD Locals throughout the U.S. Local members elect delegates to the Council and the Council Executive Board meets monthly to set our priorities.

Labor Management Relations Meetings - Local Presidents and Council 222 Executive Board members gather annually in Washington, D.C. to meet with Management representatives to discuss working conditions at HUD. Union representatives gather a day early to determine our priorities, draft questions, and prepare for the meetings on topics that include:

  • Security, safety, and health
  • Upward mobility and grade parity for our lowest graded employees
  • Access to telework
  • The cost of FTEs, hiring ceilings, and contracting out
  • Training
  • EEO counseling
  • Email and IT policies
