Law Enforcement

The Law Enforcement Officers Equity Act (H.R. 2442) would grant law enforcement officer (LEO) status to thousands of federal employees who carry firearms and are responsible for the investigation or apprehension of suspected or convicted criminals. Federal employees who receive LEO status under this AFGE-supported bill, would see their pay and benefits improve, including the option to retire with full benefits at age 50 with 20 years of federal service.
