AFGE Inquiry Prompts DoD to Direct Army to Comply with Sourcing Rules

Following a recent meeting with AFGE brought to her attention several well-documented cases of either illegal or inappropriate direct conversions of civilian positions to contractors or military personnel.
In the letter to the Army, the acting assistant secretary included copies of DoD policy documents prohibiting converting certain functions to military personnel or contract performance. She also included the documentation received from AFGE archiving violations of DoD sourcing policies at Fort A.P Hill, Fort Bragg, Fort Carson, For Stewart, Fort Rucker, Rock Island Arsenal, Tobyhanna Army Depot, DFAS, among other places.
