D/FW AIRPORT — In past years, during a typical month, Dallas/Fort Worth Airport screeners would catch a couple of weapons at the checkpoints.

For whatever reason, they’ve found 25 guns during carry-on screening at D/FW this year, including seven in the past four weeks.

"It’s not just a security issue — it’s a safety issue," said Andrea McCauley, a spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration. "Some of the guns are loaded."

Just a reminder: Don’t walk up to the checkpoint armed.
