Brinegar is no stranger to leadership. He is a past president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 1744, where he led negotiations and worked toward solutions that were beneficial to all parties. He is currently on AFGE’s 6th District Advisory Board.
“I understand that situations are almost never black and white,” Brinegar said. “I am committed to improving the lives of Hoosier families by working with everyone involved to achieve the best possible solution.”
Brinegar served in the Air Force from 1973 to1977. He is employed at Raytheon, where he has worked for 20 years as a machine parts inspector and he previously worked as a tool maker for the Caterpillar Tractor Company.
Brinegar and his wife Pamela have been married for 32 years. They have four children and nine grandchildren.
District 28 covers Hancock County, Henry County and a portion of Hamilton County.
