McCarran to use body scanners for security


The Transportation Security Administration now uses body scans for security screening on randomly chosen airline passengers in Los Angeles, Baltimore, Denver, Albuquerque, New York's Kennedy airport and Reagan National Airport near Washington.

McCarran International in Las Vegas and airports in Dallas, Detroit and Miami will be added this month.

A total of 38 machines will be in used. The scanners could eventually replace metal detectors.
