Release of videos in Newark airport security breach is delayed

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey say technical difficulties delayed the release of a video that shows a security breach at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The agency says the problem with proprietary software was fixed and the video will soon be released Thursday.

U.S Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) requested the Transportation Security Administration release the video on Wednesday.

Lautenberg staff who saw the video said it shows what appears to be a man and a woman in a passionate embrace before the woman passes through a security checkpoint Sunday. A nearby TSA security officer didn't notice the man enter the secure area and rejoin the woman without passing through security.

The incident caused massive delays after TSA officials closed Terminal C for six hours.
