TSA Suffers Rash of Uniform Discomfort

If that TSA worker rifling through your vacation souvenirs looks cranky, be patient. It could be his uniform.

A number of Transportation Security Administration workers have complained recently that they are breaking out in rashes, are lightheaded, have red and swollen eyes and lips and are, generally, miserable from skin maladies.

Some employees who have consulted with doctors say that the problems stem from their new uniforms and a chemical that's used to keep them looking new.

Workers have noticed that uniforms imported from Mexico do not seem to cause rashes, as opposed to uniforms from Honduras.

TSA changed uniforms last summer in an effort to make employees look more professional. The rash and scratching, however, doesn't do much for their credibility.
