VA gets federal stimulus money



The money is part of $4.265 million from the Veterans Affairs Department and the Defense Department as part of the federal economic stimulus package, or American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the release said.

The rest of the funding, totaling about $625,000, will go toward renovations at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and the Iowa National Guard Readiness Center in Fairfield, according to the release.
