The Women’s and Fair Practices Departments’ Equalizer Training Certification Program Application is open until Friday, February 26! This training is created for AFGE local and council officials and coordinators who have a history of working on EEO cases and want to take their skills to the next level. This training will provide participants advanced EEO skills that they can use to carry an EEO case from beginning to end.
This comprehensive program requires all participants to attend at least one session per week, completing all four weeks and completing a writing assignment. The training schedule is as follows:
Week 1: EEO I — Theories of Discrimination and Burdens of Proof
Week 2: EEO II — Discovery
Week 3: EEO III — Preparing for Hearing/Pre-hearing Reports/Damages
Week 4: Legal Writing Motion for Summary Judgement
This equalizer training will end with a graded writing assignment. Completion of this assignment and attendance at all weekly training is necessary for participants to receive their Equalizer certification.
