AFGE on Sept. 15 won a union election to represent doctors and dentists at a VA hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Of the 200 eligible voters, 65 people voted yes and 4 people voted no. AFGE also won an election for a small group of 5 Environmental Protection Agency employees in Dallas who report to headquarters and weren’t in the unit. The vote was 4 yes, 0 no.

A new Coast Guard unit in Maryland has recently been added to the AFGE family! A small but united group of 40 wage grade warehouse employees at the USCG in Curtis Bay unanimously voted for AFGE to be their exclusive representative. The employees will join AFGE Local 1923, which already represents GS employees at this location.
