(WASHINGTON) - Late last night, U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, a fellow AFGE member, was murdered while attempting to apprehend five individuals who were near Rio Rico, Arizona.
AFGE's National Executive Committee and membership express our profound sorrow over this tragic loss.
"No one can doubt the bravery of Agent Terry or any of his fellow Border Patrol agents," said AFGE National President John Gage. "These men and women work in an extremely dangerous environment and face daily threats to their lives," said President Gage.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Agent Terry," President Gage concluded.
