Statement of National President John Gage On Inclusion Of Language In The DoD Appropriations Conference On Corrections To New A-76 Process
WASHINGTON, D.C.—“AFGE is pleased that the Congress has determined that Department of Defense (DoD) employees should be allowed to submit their best bids and that contractors should be required to at least promise appreciable savings before taking work from Defense employees.
“These same requirements should be imposed on all non-DoD agencies. This is a significant first step in rewriting the extremely pro-contractor OMB Circular A-76.”
