Benefits for AFGE Members

When you join the union, you have access to these AFGE benefits. These benefits are backed by the collective strength of over 10-million members of AFL-CIO unions. By using one or two of the programs, many members save as much as their annual dues.

These Money-Saving Benefits are Available Only to AFGE Members:

How To Manage Your Debt

Are You Struggling With Debt?

You're not alone. U.S. consumer debt -- which includes mortgages, credit cards, student loans, and more -- is at an all-time high. The average U.S. household that has a mortgage, a college graduate who borrowed money for school and more than one credit card, owes about $112,000.

Now AFGE members can access a web site, UnionDebtHelp.org which will help members better manage their money.

UnionDebt Help.org offers members a number of tools including:

  • Interactive calculators to help calculate debt
  • Tips for budgeting and digging out of debt
  • A debt free test
  • Links to other Union Plus programs that can help, such as confidential credit counseling, discounts on credit scores and legal services.
