Are You Struggling With Debt?You're not alone. U.S. consumer debt -- which includes mortgages, credit cards, student loans, and more -- is at an all-time high. The average U.S. household that has a mortgage, a college graduate who borrowed money for school and more than one credit card, owes about $112,000. Now AFGE members can access a web site, UnionDebtHelp.org which will help members better manage their money. UnionDebt Help.org offers members a number of tools including:- Interactive calculators to help calculate debt
- Tips for budgeting and digging out of debt
- A debt free test
- Links to other Union Plus programs that can help, such as confidential credit counseling, discounts on credit scores and legal services.
