The AFGE Communications team is one of the best in the country, and this year we’ve been honored with six labor media awards!
AFGE Communications won six awards at the 2023 International Labor Communications Association Convention in San Diego, Calif. We placed in two Saul Miller award categories – the most competitive awards in the competition.
AFGE Communications Director Andrew Huddleston was also re-elected to serve on the ILCA board representing AFGE.
ILCA awards are given out every year to honor the best work in labor journalism and grassroots messaging campaigns. AFGE Communications’ work has been recognized for several years in a row.
“As union members have stepped up their activism in recent years, winning big victories and gaining widespread attention, the ILCA awards have become increasingly competitive,” Huddleston said. “Even in that tougher environment, the work being done by our dedicated communications professionals at AFGE is still gaining recognition across the labor movement. I’m proud of our staff and all the leaders and activists at AFGE who make this work possible every single day.”
