AFGE Local President Wins El Paso Labor Advocate Award

Paul Ferris, president of AFGE Local 2516 in El Paso, ends his email messages with a slogan “We, Not Me.” That’s what he lives by and that attitude and what he has done for the labor movement earned him the 2015 Labor Advocate Award by The El Paso Central Labor Union. He received the award at the 42nd Annual Labor Day Breakfast held at the Wyndham Hotel.
Ferris works at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He and his co-workers help take care of active duty service members stationed at Ft. Bliss who are between tours or preparing for their next assignment overseas.
