The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund is the only non-profit organization devoted solely to providing federal workers and their families with emergency financial assistance and higher education scholarships. To date, FEEA has awarded more than $14 million in scholarships to nearly 11,000 children of federal workers in the pursuit of higher education.
Evaluating all of the scholarship applications that come in each year takes an enormous amount of effort – and FEEA needs volunteers like you to help pull it off.
Volunteers joining the Scholarship Selection Committee will review and score between 20 and 30 scholarship applications to assist FEEA in awarding merit-based scholarships to awarding students. The total time commitment is between 10 and 15 hours from mid-March to early April, including comprehensive training provided by FEEA. All of the work is done online, so volunteers can set their own hours.
This is a perfect opportunity for anyone looking to make a positive impact on our federal workforce family.
