Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is a celebration of the diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and their significant contributions to the growth and development of the United States.
This year, WFP and AFGE A.P.O.W.E.R. are celebrating AAPINH Heritage Month by participating in a discussion with Kevin Hirano, Deputy Director with APIAVote. This discussion will be hosted during A.P.O.W.E.R.’s Monthly Meeting and will focus on educating AFGE members about the important work of A.P.O.W.E.R. We will also use this time to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions that Asian American and Pacific Islander workers have made to the labor movement and to the broader community.
