Apply for the 2023-2024 Fredna S. White Memorial Scholarship by 3pm ET on March 16, 2023.
Named in honor of Fredna S. White, an AFGE trailblazer and champion of human, civil, worker’s, and women’s rights, this scholarship is aimed at supporting women-identifying, AFGE members and their women-identifying family members for their exemplary academic achievement, personal accomplishment, and record of community service and engagement.
The Fredna S. White Memorial Scholarship is open to current students and high school seniors. The majority of scholarships will be awarded for undergraduate study, with occasional awards for graduate study.

With the help of our many sponsors, this year we are again awarding $1,000 scholarships to 20 winners who embody Sister Fredna’s spirit of activism and leadership.
