This fall, we welcomed our 300,000th member to the AFGE family. We stopped another government shutdown, and averted the sequester for the next two years. We won new retirement benefits for law enforcement officers, better safety equipment in our prisons, and pay increases for more than 100,000 workers in 13 new localities across America.
Together, we have accomplished so much, and I’m thankful to be a part of a union whose members look out for one another, and who benefit the public in so many ways.
So let’s give thanks for all the good work we’ve accomplished and all the blessings we've been given this year.
From all of us here at AFGE, I want to wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving.
In solidarity,
J. David Cox, Sr.
President, AFGE
