Registration is now open for a Boot Camp being hosted by DEFCON, AFGE District 5, and the AFGE Membership and Organization Department (M&O).
The Boot Camp will be held Jan. 21-26 in Jacksonville, Fla. It will provide participants with training on various organizing techniques including one-on-one communications, flyer development, group recruiting, and workplace mobilization. Participants must complete and submit the online application for prior approval.
“We will be focusing on developing skills to build our locals,” said AFGE M&O Director Dave Cann. “We will pivot from a recruitment focus to organizing the members for engagement and power, making sure every member of our bargaining unit is active in their union and has a voice on the job.”
