On behalf of AFGE’s Women’s and Fair Practices Departments, AFGE National Vice President Kendrick Roberson congratulates the newly elected leaders of constituency groups AFGE HISCO and AFGE PRIDE.
AFGE HISCO is a vital and active coalition within AFGE that provides support for AFGE members of Hispanic/Latinx origin with professional advancement, leadership development, educational opportunities, and the expansion of AFGE's political influence surrounding legislative and political action.
The HISCO Executive Board would like to hear from the AFGE Hispanic/Latinx community and its allies, especially as the nation celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The board meets monthly over Zoom on every third Thursday at 7 p.m. Eastern.

AFGE PRIDE is a national program designed to support AFGE members who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, or otherwise identify within the pride spectrum (LGBTQIA+), as well as their allies, and to educate all of AFGE on the workplace and safety issues facing this community.
AFGE Pride meets monthly over Zoom on every fourth Wednesday at 7 p.m. Eastern.
