The rights we have at work are the rights we win in our collective bargaining agreement. Every single right you and your union have is negotiated with the agency at the table, and the wins we have come from smart bargaining and an engaged membership speaking with one voice.
The members of AFGE have been working hard to grow the rights of the union to negotiate over new topics at the table, and, for the first time ever, have won the right to negotiate over new subjects.
Now, we can negotiate over:
This is huge! We have a say in issues that were beyond our reach for years.
AFGE has a training on how to bargain these issues at the table — a very important training.
Now, we are also thrilled to offer a training on Wednesday, June 30 from 12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET about what to bargain, developed by the nationally renowned expert Peter Broida, who literally wrote the book on negotiable subjects in federal sector bargaining.
Peter Broida is the most sought after speaker on the subject of federal sector bargaining, and he developed this training on the what and the why of the bargaining, with all the caselaw, hand in hand with our experts from AFGE. This is a very exciting training and a very important subject.
Your local/council needs to be ready to bargain these new rights, and AFGE is excited to partner with Peter Broida to give you the tools you need to bargain and win.
Please join us on Wednesday, June 30 for this dynamic training!
