The legislative landscape couldn't be more important for federal and D.C. government workers. Much of the activity that takes place in Congress has a direct impact on the workplace rights and working conditions of government employees. That's why it's critical for lawmakers to hear directly from workers on the issues we care about most.
The AFGE Legislative Conference is the perfect opportunity to come to Washington to make your voice heard! Join us at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill on Saturday, February 6 through Tuesday, February 9, 2027, for an impactful opportunity to lobby your members of Congress.
At this conference, you will have an opportunity to network with fellow AFGE members, learn about our legislative priorities, meet with your members of Congress, rally on Capitol Hill to stand together for workplace rights, and much more.
Monday, February 8, and Tuesday, February 9, are dedicated to Capitol Hill office visits and the rally, so we can meet with as many congressional offices as possible. Because official time may not be appropriate for these activities, members should take leave for both days and should not use official time on February 8 or 9.
