The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has released new guidelines for health care workers who treat Ebola patients in the U.S.
These updated procedures provide extensive guidelines on the types of personal protective equipment (PPE) to be used by health care workers and the recommended technique for putting on and removing various types of PPE. The guidance also provides great detail on the proper training needed and the importance of maintaining the proper environment for treating Ebola patients.
AFGE strongly encourages health care employees throughout the government to observe the CDC’s strict new guidelines. For more information on the updated guidance click here.
