Legislative Political Coordinators (LPCs) will be a key part of building each AFGE Local’s independent political power and legislative relationships with elected officials. An LPC candidate must be interested in building grassroots power, lobbying elected officials and organizing with the AFGE membership to grow the union’s strength. A successful LPC will need to work closely with National, District and Local staff, and must be able to organize and empower rank-and-file AFGE members.
