Nicole, a member of AFGE Local 644 for 19 years, serves as the President of the Local and as a steward.
Nicole relishes protecting the rights of all BUEs by holding management accountable to the contract, administrative regulations and the law. She is known for her strong advocacy and research skills, scrutiny of written documents (e.g. new policy and procedures, MOU and settlement agreement language) and to be a creative, out of the box thinker. Dave is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and served as a Navy Surface Warfare Officer. He is a certified Shellback (crossed the equator) and Bluenose (went north of the Arctic Circle). Dave started working as a W&H Investigator in December of 1985 in Pittsburgh, PA and transferred to the Norfolk Field Station (within the Richmond DO, and is now an AO), staying there for 10 years before returning to Pittsburgh DO, working out of the Greensburg Field Station Office.
Dave is a strong believer in unions, coming from a family with multiple generations of union membership. He became the Shop Steward for the Richmond DO in 1988 and continued to perform the duties of Shop Steward when he returned to Pittsburgh.
Dave's wife, Madeline, is currently the President of AFGE Local 2450. So he and Madeline have a lot of union discussion at the dinner table along with their 3 children. His son, Tony, is working in the art field as a painter; middle child, Rachel, will soon finish college as a Digital Designer, and his youngest, Anna, is still working through her options in college.
