It’s all come down to this. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, millions of Americans will head to the polls to vote in midterm elections that are largely seen as a referendum on President Trump’s past two years in office.
The outcome of the elections could shift the balance of power in Congress and usher in much-needed oversight of the Trump administration, which has waged war on federal and D.C. government workers and the essential programs and services they deliver. On the other hand, voters could decide to keep everything the way it is – which will embolden President Trump to double down on his anti-government and anti-worker agenda.
“Let me be clear. Your workplace conditions, collective bargaining rights, pay and benefits, and basic dignity depend on a favorable outcome,” AFGE National President Everett Kelley said.
“If we elect a House and Senate that make it a priority to reverse President Trump’s frontal assault on the civil service, we can put the administration on the defensive. If these leaders return next year to run the Senate and House, President Trump will have two more years to wreak havoc on the federal workforce without having to worry about Congress’s reaction.”

AFGE’s Endorsed Candidates
AFGE has endorsed hundreds of candidates this year at the federal, state, and local levels – including Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. What each of our endorsed candidates has in common is a record of supporting our right to bargain collectively for better pay, benefits, and working conditions. That is the only test AFGE applies.
A full list of our endorsed candidates can be found on our Election Center. Simply scroll down to the AFGE District where you are located, click on the link, and then select your state.
