The recently launched radio ad written by AFGE National President John Gage has gained national media attention and can now be viewed as a video on YouTube. The ad campaign has been targeting the issue of race in the election. “There are one hundred good reasons for how you to vote this year and only one bad reason. Prejudice. Let’s talk about the real issues,” Gage says in the radio ad. He urges voters to focus on the economy, health care, jobs, and foreign policy, among other issues.
“This election is too important to be decided by leftover biases. It is incumbent upon federal workers, as well as other union members, to help crack through racial barriers within our families, friends and neighborhoods,” Gage said.
The ad is running on radio stations across the country. To view the video version of the ad, please go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vu7qb3xdTLc. Media hits can be viewed below.
