The American Federation of Government Employees’ Hispanic Coalition (HISCO) members recently met in Las Vegas at AFGE’S multi-district training to elect members for chair, vice president and treasurer.
HISCO is an organization under AFGE built to promote the general welfare of Hispanic government employees and to improve the conditions of the organization. As a Hispanic organization, HISCO promotes efficiency and encourages the full participation of Hispanics, women and minorities in AFGE activities.
“I’m excited about this opportunity and look forward to keeping members informed on the political action and education as it relates to concerns of HISCO members and Hispanics in and out of federal service,” said AFGE’s Local 2142 President Joe Gonzales, the newly elected chairman of HISCO

1st Vice President- Ana Angelet of Local 2608
- 2nd Vice President- Jenny Salvez of Local 2879
- 3rd Vice President- Julian Costales of Local 2142
- Treasurer- Josie Marrujo of Local 4041
