(WASHINGTON) – This week, AFGE welcomed civilian police officer, Sergeant Mark Todd, as a dues paying member of AFGE Local 1920. Sgt. Todd has been hailed as a hero for his actions during the shooting rampage at Ft. Hood.
Sgt. Todd signed up after meeting with AFGE Local 1920 President Cheryl Eliano. “We have been meeting with Sgt. Todd on a regular basis since the incident occurred,” said Eliano. “Sgt. Todd saved countless lives that day and we want to make sure that all of his workplace needs are being met.”
AFGE represents 1,700 civilian defense employees at the army base, including civilians in the Soldier Readiness Center, employees at the base hospital, and officers of the installation’s civilian police force.
