EEO Training, Young Workers Summit, LGBT Issues, Rally Highlight AFGE Diversity Week Events

PITTSBURGH The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) will hold its 1st Diversity Week Aug. 16-24 in Pittsburgh, Pa. This week of events will include AFGEs 2nd Annual Young Organizing Unionists for the Next Generation (Y.O.U.N.G.) Training Summit, Human Rights Training Conference and 1st Annual AFGE Pride Training Summit. More than 500 union activists from across the country are expected to attend this years events, which will be held at the Westin Pittsburgh Convention Center located at 1000 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa.


Several newsworthy events will be open to the press. Below are details. 


Y.O.U.N.G. Training Summit General Session


When: 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 17
