FLRA Certifies AFGE in Non-Pro DVA Election
“The official FLRA certification is welcome news to the thousands of non-professional DVA employees who voted for AFGE,” said AFGE National President Bobby L. Harnage.
AFGE already represents over 125,000 DVA employees nationwide. The addition of 10,000 employees to the non-professional unit brings to 60 percent the number of DVA employees represented by AFGE.
Alma Lee, President of AFGE’s National DVA Council, hailed the win as a victory not just for the employees, but for the DVA programs overall. “The stronger AFGE’s voice is on Capitol Hill, the better able we are to protect the DVA’s mission of caring for our veterans,” said Lee.
