Largest Federal Employee Union Endorses Kansas’ Adam Hamilton for U.S. Senate and Cindy Holscher for Governor

AFGE says both Hamilton and Holscher will fight for working families
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The American Federation of Government Employees today announced its endorsements of Adam Hamilton for U.S. Senate and Cindy Holscher for governor representing Kansas in the 2026 elections. Both candidates won their statewide primaries in August, and the general election is Nov. 3.
Cindy Holscher and Adam Hamilton have demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting working families, ensuring that working people can earn a fair wage and retire with dignity, and protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Their records of service and commitment to their communities reflect the values that guide AFGE: standing up for working families, protecting vital public services, and ensuring that government works for everyone, not just the wealthiest few. Both candidates have shown that they will be strong allies for AFGE members and federal employees and will support policies that strengthen the public services our communities depend on.
“Kansas federal employees need leaders at every level of government who understand that strong public services depend on respecting the people who provide them. Adam Hamilton and Cindy Holscher have demonstrated that they will stand with working families and federal employees who serve Kansans every day,” AFGE District 9 National Vice President Shane Reedy said.
“At a time when federal workers, their jobs, and collective bargaining rights have faced unprecedented attacks, AFGE members need elected leaders who aren’t afraid to stand with us. AFGE is proud to endorse Adam Hamilton for election to the U.S. Senate and Cindy Holscher for election as Kansas’ next governor.”
More than 28,000 federal employees live in Kansas – caring for veterans, supporting the military, and ensuring Social Security recipients receive their benefits accurately and on time.
AFGE is the largest federal employee union in the country, representing more than 820,000 federal and D.C. government workers in all functions of government. AFGE represents more than 56,000 federal employees in District 9, which includes Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
