CORAOPOLIS, Pa. – The American Federation of Government Employees today announced its endorsement of eight candidates for election to the U.S. House representing Pennsylvania in the 2026 elections. Two are newcomers, while six are incumbents. The general election is Nov. 3.
“Pennsylvania is one of the most diverse states in the U.S. and has 17 members of Congress. The candidates we are endorsing have proven themselves to AFGE by supporting federal employees and our rights to collectively bargain for better raises, benefits, and working conditions,” AFGE District 3 National Vice President Philip Glover said. “That is why AFGE is endorsing these candidates.”
AFGE is endorsing the following candidates for election to Congress (incumbents bold):
Brendan Boyle (PA-2)
Chris Rabb (PA-3)
Madeleine Dean (PA-4)
Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-5)
Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6)
Bob Brooks (PA-7)
Summer Lee (PA-12)
Chris Deluzio (PA-17)
AFGE previously announced its endorsements of Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1), Rob Bresnahan (PA-8), and Janelle Stelson (PA-10) for reelection to the U.S. House.
More than 66,656 federal employees live in Pennsylvania – caring for veterans, supporting the military, and getting Social Security recipients their benefits accurately and on time.
AFGE is the largest federal employee union in the country, representing more than 820,000 federal and D.C. government workers in all functions of government. AFGE represents nearly 33,000 federal employees in District 3, which includes Delaware and Pennsylvania.
