Largest Federal Workers’ Union Applauds Biden’s Pick for Federal Labor Relations Authority Chairman
AFGE says “President Biden could not have chosen a more qualified person”
WASHINGTON – American Federation of Government Employees National President Everett Kelley issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s selection of Ernest Dubester for Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) Chairman:
“President Biden could not have chosen a more qualified person to lead the agency charged with establishing and enforcing labor management law throughout the federal government.
“Over the course of an impressive labor management career spanning more than 45 years, including more than a decade at the FLRA, Chairman Dubester has been a staunch supporter of workers’ rights.
“Having served as a union attorney, legislative counsel to the AFL-CIO, and law school professor teaching collective bargaining and arbitration, it is clear that he is right person to restore integrity to the FLRA.”
