AFGE responds to deaths of two workers due to steam pipe explosion
WASHINGTON – Today, two people are dead following a steam pipe explosion at the West Haven Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Haven, Conn.
American Federation of Government Employees National President Everett Kelley issued the following statement:
“We are saddened to hear the news of the tragedy at the West Haven VA this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the two workers who were killed as a result of this tragic event.
“We are thankful to the first responders and those who are involved in investigating the cause of this horrific event.”
