(WASHINGTON, D.C.)—"AFGE commends Congress for creating and funding DHS, and President Bush for signing the agency's first appropriations bill.
"AFGE, which represents a significant percentage of DHS workers including TSA screeners, feels the funding is the first step to help continue building an infrastructure that will provide the best security for the American people.
“AFGE looks forward to working with DHS officials this October to develop a personnel system which will help DHS employees better protect our nation."
