The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) Office of Federal Operations (OFO) adjudicates appeals of federal agency decisions on equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaints.
Please be advised that most EEOC employees are teleworking.
To that end, so that we may more efficiently communicate with you regarding the processing of your EEOC appeal, we are requesting that you sign up for the EEOC Public Portal. The Public Portal provides a secure means to review your appeal and related documents.
Sign up for the EEOC Public Portal
To access your appeal online and allow OFO to adjudicate your appeal, you first have to register with the EEOC Public Portal.
Here’s how.
That’s it! You can now log into the Public Portal and access information about any pending matters before the Commission.
Identify your representative so he or she can register with the EEOC Public Portal and access your appeal
When you register with the EEOC Public Portal, only you, the EEOC, agency EEO staff, and agency attorneys assigned to your case can access your case information. If you have an attorney or other representative helping you with your appeal, you can identify that person as your representative in the My Cases page and authorize that representative to access your case through the EEOC Public Portal. The Portal will send a verification email to your representative, and your representative will then need to register with the Portal and obtain his or her own log in information. If you change your representative, make sure to change the representative’s contact information in the Portal so that the right person receives communications related to your case.
Where to get more information or help using the EEOC Public Portal
To help you easily use the Portal, we’ve prepared a User Guide for federal employees with appeals. If you have any technical problems with the Portal, you can call the EEOC’s technical support telephone number for the Portal at 1?800?569?7118 or email [email protected].
Tips when using the EEOC Public Portal
There are a few important things to keep in mind after requesting filing an appeal with EEOC, particularly:
Email Notifications from the EEOC
We hope you will register for the EEOC Public Portal given the benefits it provides to you, the agency and the EEOC. Even if you do not register in the Portal, we want you to know that you will still receive email notifications when a document is uploaded into your online case file. Further, you will receive email notification once OFO is able to issue a decision on the matter before us.
