Good morning! Here’s an overview of what’s on tap today:
Last-minute check-in: Heads up, procrastinators: today’s your last chance to check-in for the convention. Check-in will be from 7:30-10:30 a.m. in Atlantic C. No one without a badge will be allowed into the General Session.
General session begins: The convention officially kicks off as the General Session begins at 10 a.m. in Pacific Hall. Doors will open at 9 a.m.
Nominations end: Today’s the final day to nominate candidates for the three national officer positions up for election. Nominations must be submitted in writing to Election Committee Chair NVP Gregg James or to the Election Committee, which will receive nominations from 1-4 p.m. today in Oceanic 1. Submissions must state the name of the candidate and the office for which they are nominated, and it must be signed by the delegate making the nomination.
Exhibits to visit: While most exhibits have shut down, M&O and WFP will continue their exhibits throughout the week in Atlantic C. Hours today are 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Visit the PAC table: AFGE PAC will have a mini exhibit throughout the week in the Atlantic Foyer. Hours today are from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.Contributions to AFGE-PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Your voluntary decision to contribute more, less or not to contribute at all will not result in any favor or disadvantage in your relationship with AFGE.
District meetings: District meetings begin this morning and continue through Tuesday. Check the Convention App for the complete schedule.
Council meeting:NVAC Council 263 meets from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Asia 1, while DECA Council 172 meets from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Oceanic 2.
