LAKEWOOD, Calif. –– The American Federation of Government Employees today announced its endorsement of three members of Congress for reelection to the U.S. House representing Nevada in the 2026 elections. The statewide primary is June 9, and the general election is Nov. 3.
The endorsed candidates are Reps. Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford.
“Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford have spent their time in Congress supporting Nevada’s working-class families. They have stood their ground to make the state a better place to work for everyone, including the nearly 28,000 federal employees who call Nevada home.”
Dina Titus, 1st Congressional District
Serving the First Congressional District of Nevada for more than a decade, Rep. Dina Titus is the dean of Nevada’s delegation. Previously she served as State Senate Minority Leader from 1993 to 2009.
Rep. Titus has been a persistent champion for Nevada’s working class and has been rated one of the most effective Democratic members of the U.S. House by the Center for Effective Lawmaking.
Susie Lee, 3rd Congressional District
Susie Lee was born to a working family of 10 in Canton, Ohio. Her father was a military veteran who worked at a steel plant, while her mother stayed at home to care for the family of eight kids. After graduating from public schools, Lee worked her way through Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with a combination of scholarships, loans, and part-time jobs.
She moved to Las Vegas in 1993 and became a leader in education nonprofits, founding the After School All Stars and later serving as president of Communities in Schools of Nevada. Under her leadership, Communities in Schools helped decrease dropout rates. She was elected to Congress in 2018.
Steven Horsford, 4th Congressional District
For more than a decade, Steven Horsford led the Culinary Training Academy, the largest job training program in Nevada – helping thousands of workers find quality careers in the hospitality industry. Under his leadership, the unique partnership between labor and business placed over 80% of graduates into well-paying jobs.
Rep. Horsford has served in Congress since 2019, previously representing the same district from 2013 to 2015.
Nearly 28,000 federal employees live in Nevada – caring for veterans, supporting the military, ensuring the safety of our food and air, and getting Social Security recipients their benefits accurately and on time.
AFGE is the largest federal employee union in the country, representing more than 820,000 federal and D.C. government workers in all functions of government. AFGE represents more than 10,000 federal employees in District 12, which includes Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Nevada.
