President Dwight D. Eisenhower established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1958 after Congress passed the National Aeronautics and Space Act on July 29, 1958.
For 60 years, NASA’s mission to further knowledge of our home planet and the search for life on other worlds is a source of pride for us all. From Apollo 13’s journey to the Moon to Pioneer 10’s flight to Jupiter, NASA employees’ expertise, passion, and dedication have helped us reach the stars. For them, the sky is literally not the limit.
Our union is proud to represent NASA employees at Kennedy Space Center, Fla., Marshall Space Center, Ala., Langley Research Center and Wallops Island, Va., and Johnson Space Center, Texas.
NASA’s impact on our everyday lives
