America’s national parks are icons of natural beauty and history, but the people who keep them running often lack a unified voice on the job. AFGE is launching a nationwide campaign to bring together park rangers, interpreters, maintenance crews, guides, and every National Park Service (NPS) worker in one powerful union family.
AFGE already represents thousands of NPS employees across the country. In the Northeast Region alone, our dedicated NPS Council negotiates strong union contracts for over 2,000 employees in seven states.
AFGE is working to expand those same rights, protections, and real workplace voice to NPS employees in every region.
AFGE uses a secure digital platform called Engage to collect “Showing of Interest” cards from NPS employees. By signing up, you’ll join forces with fellow park workers nationwide to strengthen our collective voice and advance our organizing campaign.
Organize with AFGE. Protect your profession. Help write the next chapter for the National Park Service.
I joined AFGE as a seasonal because I wanted to contribute to those who support and fight for the rights of dedicated and hard-working civil servants who spend their careers preserving and protecting America's cultural, historical, and natural resources. Now, as a Union leader, I get to utilize my experience as a Union member to advocate for my colleagues when they need it the most.
My government career started with The Department of Veterans Affairs I transferred to the National Park Service in 1999.
Working in the maintenance division at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia. I was elected to serve as AFGE Local 2058 President. Additionally, I am one of the founding members of the first AFGE NPS Council. Today I serve as the elected Secretary Treasure for the Council.
