Federal workers who protect us deserve workplace rights.

TSA officers are the first line of defense for aviation security. They protect passengers, pilots, flight attendants, and our country. They are an integral part of our national security framework, but do not have the same workplace rights and protections as other federal workers. We can change that with your help. The Rights for the Transportation Security Administration Workforce Act of 2021 (H.R. 903) would put TSA officers on the same pay scale as other federal workers and provide them with much needed workplace protections.

5 Reasons Your Lawmaker Should Cosponsor H.R. 903

TSA Officers would finally receive fair pay under the General Schedule (GS) pay system—the same system used by most federal agencies.  

TSA Officers would no longer be penalized for using sick leave because TSA would be required to follow the Office of Personnel Management leave guidelines.

TSA Officer collective bargaining agreements would cover the same range of workplace issues and follow the same rules as other federal agencies.

It would be a civil rights violation for TSA to fire TSA Officers based on medical symptoms and diagnoses that do not affect their work performance.

TSA Officers could appeal unfair disciplinary decisions to a neutral fact finder OTHER than TSA.
