At the 2015 DoD Maintenance Symposium in Phoenix, AFGE leaders held a series of private meetings with senior military and civilian leaders to stress the vital role that Defense civilians play in maintaining and repairing military equipment and weapons for use by our troops.
Meetings were held with Michael Cervone, director for maintenance policy and operations at Army headquarters; Lisha Adams, executive deputy to the commander at Army Materiel Command; Major Gen. Craig Crenshaw, commanding general of Marine Corps Logistics Command; Mike Madden, executive deputy of Marine Corps Logistics Command; David Berteau, assistant secretary of Defense for logistics and materiel readiness; John Johns, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for maintenance policy and programs; Doug Dynes, national security advisor to Sen. Orrin Hatch; and Daniel Fri, deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for logistics and product support.
