AFGE's 'Each One Teach One' program is part of the newly formed Mentorship Institute. Seasoned AFGE members and leaders are encouraged to apply as mentors for new and future leaders of the union. Activists new in their roles can also apply as mentees. The Institute will foster relationships so that union administration skills can be passed on new and emerging leaders.
The deadline for mentors and mentees to apply is Friday, January 5, 2018. An interview based on your application will take place the following week. Selection and cohort assignments will be made by Monday, January 15, 2018. All those chosen for the program are asked to attend the onboarding workshop during the 2018 Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.
