Meet AFGE TSA Member on the Talent Show – The Voice!

Did you know that an AFGE member who works for TSA at the Los Angeles International Airport is also a star on the popular singing competition, The Voice? Damien Lawson is a member of AFGE Local 1260. Watch his performance below:
On The Voice website, he mentions his work at TSA and the death of his colleague Transportation Security Officer Gerardo Hernandez last year:
"Damien has been singing his whole life, first in his father's church and later in college, where he studied opera. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in R&B music, but in the meantime, he works for the TSA at the Los Angeles airport, where he survived the domestic terrorist attack last year. He lost his co-worker and friend that day, and Damien turned back to music to get him through that trying time.”
