Good morning! Here’s an overview of what’s on tap today:
Delegate check-in: Stop by Champagne Ballroom to check-in before tomorrow’s rush. Hours are 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 3-6 p.m., and 7-10 p.m.
Interfaith service: Come together for fellowship and reflection before starting the busy week ahead – all without leaving the hotel! All are welcome to attend our interfaith service from 9:30 a.m.-noon in Provence 6-7.
Exhibit hall continues: Make sure to visit the exhibit hall today, as most of the exhibits will be packing up after tonight. Hours are from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 3-6 p.m., and 7-10 p.m. Champagne Ballroom
New delegate trainings: Orientation sessions will be held today for delegates and alternate delegates attending the convention for the first time, or those who just need a refresher course on parliamentary procedure. Attendance is highly encouraged. Sessions will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. and again from 4-5:30 p.m., both in Normandy 2.
Robert’s Rules of Order workshop: Anyone conducting a union business meeting knows how important it is to follow parliamentary rules and procedures. AFGE Y.O.U.N.G. will host a workshop on Robert’s Rules of Order from 2-4 p.m. in Normandy 1.
Council meetings: AFGE councils are meeting today and throughout the week to discuss resolutions and other convention business. The National Council of Field Labor Locals meets from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Provence 2-3, NVAC Council 53 meets from 7:30 a.m.-noon in Normandy 3, EEOC Council 216 meets from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in Palace 2, USCIS Council 119 meets from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in Palace 3, and AFMC Council 214 meets from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in Provence 5.
