The registration process for the AFGE John N. Sturdivant Scholarship (JNS) is open online for the 2015-2016 FEEA scholarship season. The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) is a non-profit organization devoted to helping civilian federal and postal employees through annual education based scholarships, emergency assistance and child care subsidies. AFGE partners with FEEA each year to provide scholarships to AFGE members and their families.
This year, the scholarship application will be partially completed online. The basic application information -- student and sponsor contact information, GPA, school, and class status -- is entered online and sent directly to FEEA's scholarship database. Students will still need to send in supporting documents like the essay, recommendation letter, list of awards/extra-curricular activities/community service, transcript, and sponsoring employee's SF-50, along with a printout of their online submission confirmation email. With the online application form AFGE JNS scholarship applicants must select ‘AFGE – American Federation of Government Employees’ from the Partner Program list.
The deadline for submissions is March 27, 2015.
